Divine Fingerprints

I’ve flown

High above the treetops.

I’ve looked down

On the clouds.

I’ve watched the moonlight

Dance on the waters

Of the Pacific.

I’ve seen the tapestry

That is the patchwork fields.

The breathtaking colours of the sunset.

Roads carved through

Layers of rock

In Northern Ontario.

Northern Lights.

Crashing waves.

Such wonder!

Such awe-inspiring sights!

And yet,

I’ve had the privilege

Of seeing

Far more wondrous.

I’ve seen

Divine Fingerprints

All over my life.

And yet,

It has lost its fascination.

May I never

Cease to marvel

At the beauty of creation.

May I never take for granted

The Creator

Who chooses to draw near.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded (James 4:7-8, ESV).
