Eagle Eyes

Little by little,

The clouds are parting.

The glimpses I’m getting

Seem to indicate

I’m going in the right direction.

More confirmation.

Casual conversation.

A daughter’s excited discovery.

A thought

Followed by an email.

Little things.

Like markings on a trail.

I can miss them.

I can misunderstand them.

I can get it right

And arrive at the next stop

On the journey.

The markings are clear.

I need eagle eyes to see them.

But those eagle eyes

Are sharp.

If I keep my focus

Where it should be,

The route will be unmistakable.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;  in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6, NIV).

  1. Oh, Stephanie, this was my verse on Monday! And today I looked it up in The Message to use in tomorrow’s blog post… Check out verses 5-7 in that version, especially verse 6: “Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track.”

    Keep flying, sister!
