If you know anything about aeronautics,

(And I know very little),

You realize without lift

There is no flight.

What gives lift to my wings

May not do the same for you.

For me,

It’s my relationships,

First and foremost.

(It’s such an amazing thing

To be called someone’s friend.)

Lift comes in the form of

A child.

Such a priceless treasure!

A blazing sunset.

A crashing waterfall.

A delicate butterfly.

A new book.

I am thankful

For each person

And each thing

That lifts me higher.

But I’m most thankful

For the Creator

Of all blessings.

God saw all that he had made, and it was very good (Genesis 1:31, NIV).
