Flying above Snowballs

It’s a good thing

I can fly.

As I look out

My front window,

I see the snow falling.

It reminds me

Of just one more thing

On my To Do list.

My windshield wiper

Came off in my hand

My hubby put it back on,

But the clip is gone.

There is nothing to anchor it…

There’s a springboard

For another day…

Back to flight and snow…

Things are

Starting to come together.

The snowball of responsibilities

Is getting bigger.

It’s getting heavy enough

To begin its downhill descent.

The reason I said

I’m glad I can fly.

Snow can be beautiful.

And snowballs,

A reason for laughter and joy.

But not when

They squash you.

So, today,

I’ll take wing

And enjoy the view.

I will accomplish

What I can.

Who knows?

Maybe I’ll build

A snow fort

With what remains.

one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:13-14, NIV).
