Held Aloft by the Unseen

My hubby

Had his second interview

Yesterday.

It has been a long time…

Almost 30 years…

Since he last changed professions.

Even then,

A job was created for him,

And the one he has currently

Naturally grew from it.

All that to say,

He hasn’t been this far along

In the interview process

In a very long time.

Just how was the call left?

With more references to check

And a promise to be in touch.

So,

We continue to wait.

Do we know for sure

This is where we’ll fly next?

No.

Do we continue to fly?

We must.

Can we see what holds us?

No.

Do we trust the Unseen?

Absolutely!

So,

If we really do trust,

Can we be anxious?

Not if our trust is complete.

Excited? Yes.

Anxious? No.

While we wait,

We must continue to fulfill

Our responsibilities.

We must continue to fly.

While we wait,

We will rest secure,

Held aloft by the Unseen.

The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms (Deuteronomy 33:27, NIV).
